Independent mattress manufacturer Pleasant Mattress recently hired 30-year mattress industry veteran Mike Clark for the newly created post of sales manager. Clark has worked for several major bedding manufacturers and retailers throughout his three-decade career and will lead day-to-day sales efforts as the company has expanded its reach with existing brands and added the McRoskey label to its portfolio.
He reports to Mike Moore, who recently was promoted to chief of staff at Pleasant Mattress.
“Mike Clark is a well-respected professional who has a long track record of developing strategies that help his customers and colleagues improve sales performance,” said Rion Morgenstern, president and CEO of Pleasant Mattress. “His vast industry knowledge – with particular expertise regarding the bedding market in the western U.S. – will enable him to make immediate contributions to our company.”
Most recently, Clark had been a strategic account manager for Serta Simmons Bedding in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2017. Prior to that, he spent 17 years with Simmons where he held a variety of sales posts in the western U.S.
He began his mattress industry career at Mattress Discounters, where he spent nine years as a store manager, district manager and general sales manager in California.
