West Coast mattress producer Pleasant Mattress has announced the promotion of two employees to management positions within its manufacturing operations department.
Mingo Urrea has been named Manufacturing Manager. In the new position, Urrea oversees the company’s sewing, quilting and production of foundations and futons. He succeeds Michael Stype, who has been named Director of Quality and Compliance for Pleasant Mattress.
An 11-year veteran with Pleasant Mattress, Urrea was most recently a department manager. He began his career with the company in the factory’s foundation department. During his tenure, he has worked in the shipping, scheduling and mattress production departments.
Pleasant Mattress has also named Vue Yang Trucking Supervisor to oversee the company’s fleet maintenance and safety. Yang brings more than 20 years of experience in the trucking industry to Pleasant Mattress’ operations team.
Both Urrea and Yang report to Russell Raymond, Director of Operations for Pleasant Mattress.
“Mingo and Vue are both long-term valued members of our operations team, and we expect their experience to improve our manufacturing processes and our fleet management,” Raymond said.
