Pleasant Mattress makes it a habit to look outside the mattress industry for marketing and customer service ideas that enhance the customer experience. The latest has led the West Coast bedding manufacturer to an upscale solution for protecting the mattress through the entire delivery cycle of its MAXXline.
The innovative company has developed a heavy-duty, non-woven branded bag – reminiscent of bags used by high-end shoe or purse suppliers – that not only protects the mattress, but also helps ensure a cleaner delivery into the consumer’s home. Outside each branded bag is an outer plastic bag that is removed before entering the home, keeping dirt and grime out. Once the sleep system is delivered and set up, the non-woven mattress bag is folded and presented to the consumer who can then store the bag for future use.
Branching out into its own branded mattress line, Pleasant Mattress recently introduced its MAXX line encompassing eight mattresses with varying support and comfort levels. Designed as a sturdier mattress line, MAXX beds are engineered for extra, sag-free support with heavy-wire coils and ultra-density foams.
Three families of mattress designs make up the MAXX collection. The Max. Conform collection is built upon a foam encased “Samson” spring unit of individually wrapped coils; a strong and quiet core that is sensitive to body contours. The Max. Support collection also features foam-encased heavy-wire coils in a hinge-flex double offset configuration. Max. Support and Max. Conform are available in Euro top, Firm and Plush models. Max. Response, also based on the “Samson” coil and features a specialty sleep format with a non-quilted top panel to enhance the responsiveness of the exotic comfort layers. The Max. Response is also first to market using a 3Mesh ventilating layer on the sleeping surface for engineered air-flow. Max. Response is available as a choice of comfort in plush and luxury firm.
“MAXX is a stunning lifestyle product with tremendous comfort experience. We are always seeking to make consumer experience better at all touch points. The in-home delivery experience is just as important as the quality and comfort experience for our consumers,” said Rion Morgenstern, President and CEO of Pleasant Mattress. “By taking things a step further and encasing each mattress in two protective covers, we are emphasizing the extra care we take in delivering a superior product to our customers.”
